The Immorality of Greed Disguised As Profit


A large American corporation raises vegetables in the Sahel, near the Sahara Desert. These vegetables are flown to Europe where they fill the salad bowls of the affluent. The African workers on the giant farm, whose families and friends live at the edge of starvation , are seacrched at the end of each day to be sure they are not smuggling vegetables out of the farm to their families. Yet the corporation land was once the home of these poor people where they grazed their heards and rose food in small gardens.
